Traeger Opens Cellar Door in Nagambie

Highly skilled Victorian winemaker David Traeger has purchased and refurbished a 120 year-old cellar and residence at 139 High St in Nagambie as a new cellar door tasting area and head office for his diverse vineyard and winery holdings. Made from handmade bricks, the superbly vaulted cellar is underneath a substantial European styled multi-arched residence constructed by Ernest Brensing, a respected German builder and businesman. David Traeger sources fruit as diverse as old dryland red grapes from Graytown planted in 1892 and recently established verdelho vines at Hughes Creek. His other vineyards are near Nagambie and Seymour.
