Backed by a talcum-like, powdery spine, it’s fine and gentle, delivering richness and weight of flavour in mid-palate before tapering tightly around a refreshing, crisp acidity. Delightful.

Mitchell
A small producer of compelling and individual Clare Valley wines, Mitchell is one of the leading makers of the region’s white specialities, riesling and semillon. Mitchell's reds include the appropriately named Peppertree Vineyard Shiraz, which for many years has been an Australian benchmark for quality and value. The Sevenhill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, as epitomised by the 2010 release, is capable of developing for many years. The currently available white wines are quite up to Mitchell's usual exacting standards.
