A finely crafted pinot whose heady, floral bouquet of raspberries, cherries and sweet red rose petals is offset by restrained cedar/vanilla oak. Medium in weight, it’s smooth and unctuous, with a gentle but mouthfilling expression of pristine small red fruit that drives with softness and suppleness down a fine, pliant spine towards a finish of red licorice and gentle but brightly lit acids that will become savoury over time.

Hesket Estate owns a mature pinot noir vineyard whose wines are elevating in structure and status. Doug Neal, the name behind the wines of the now-defunct Paradise IV vineyard near Geelong has joined the team and with his involvement the wines from 2018 vintage are starting to show some real class.
