Its deep fragrance of dark flowers, cassis, blackberries and dark plums overlies nuances of cedar/cigarboxy and a hint of gravel. Its translucently bright core of vivacious dark fruits knit tightly with classy oak, extending with genuine length and drive down a drying, schisty spine towards a finely balanced finish of lively acids. Very classy, and while it’s already approachable, it’s a wine that will discover more finesse over time.
